Community & Resources

Education

Centralia College is the longest continuously running community college in Washington State. There are several two year programs available with a limited selection of four year programs. The college also provides key vocation programs such as welding and diesel technology. Custom training programs are available to fit numerous specific business needs. There are also many excellent award winning K-12 school systems in Lewis County.

Medical

Providence Centralia Hospital is a 107-bed, not-for-profit community-based hospital in Centralia. With supporting clinics and satellite hospitals, expanding technology, this major health care facility has become a premier operation for medical care in Lewis County and surrounding areas.

Tourism

Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce offers information on events and activities available in the local area. There are numerous activities including fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, and skiing throughout the county. In more urban areas are classic theaters, outlet malls, and major antique offerings.

Lewis County is strategically located and central to Portland and Seattle on the I-5 Corridor. It is the largest geographic county in Western Washington, covering 2,452 square miles. Lewis County’s location puts you within 70 miles of two international airports and 20 miles from the nearest deep water port.
