One of the most important and significant elements of the success of economic development efforts in Lewis County has been the on-going coordination of activities among the various partners in this region.
There is a wide variety of key players involved in economic development and the best results have always come about when the efforts between those players has been coordinated.
Certainly the Lewis County Economic Development Council is a highly visible and recognizable cog in the wheel. Both the Ports of Chehalis and Centralia have a mission for economic development in their respective districts.
Municipalities all have local visions and various personnel actively involved in development efforts within their respective jurisdictions. Lewis County has the same function and role for the unincorporated areas.
Individuals involved range from private citizens dedicated to the area and its future to elected officials and public employees of the various governmental bodies and entities involved.
Taking the time to reflect on all the players involved in local economic development extends far beyond the obvious. That’s why coordination is so important to have progress and success.
Such coordination has resulted in many beneficial industrial investments in our community over the years. Continuation of such efforts can provide many more in the years ahead.
